Role Details
Job Title: Logistics Yard Supervisor
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Corner Brook, NL
Rotation: 10 days on / 4 days off (12 hour days)
Compensation: Wage TBD based on experience and qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily yard activities, including loading, unloading, and organizing materials or vehicles
- Assign and oversee work of yard employees to ensure productivity and efficiency
- Conduct regular safety checks and enforce company safety policies
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing materials
- Coordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams to maintain smooth workflow
- Train and mentor new employees in yard procedures and safety practices
- Operate forklifts, loaders, or other yard equipment as needed
- Inspect vehicles, containers, or materials for damage discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
- Prepare and submit daily or weekly reports on yard activities and performance
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum; Class 3 or air brakes endorsement preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-5 years of experience in yard, warehouse, or logistics operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and compliance requirements
- Ability to operate yard equipment (forklifts, loaders, etc.)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills
- Water and sewer experience preferred
