The general scope of work involved in the Norris Arm Landfill Cell Three located at Central Newfoundland Waste Management Landfill housed water support building, water treatment ponds, and developed landfill cells. Prior to construction commencement the location of Landfill Cell Three was vegetated with trees, and open bogs. The subsurface conditions for the scope included fill material, black peat organics, bedrock, glacial till, and ground water. MCI’s scope of work included road development for site access, waste excavation, cell three subbase development, liner systems, and landfill treatment development with the intended purpose of connecting the existing infrastructure at the Regional Landfill. MCI completed this project successfully in a safe and efficient manner. With highly competent individuals on site, our daily production averaged at 5000m3, a significant achievement in efficiency and proactive thinking on site.
