Recent Projects

Upon award of contract, Marine Contractors Inc., completed the general scope of work inclusive of the construction of a new treated timber crib wharf, complete with reinforced concrete decking, harbour excavation for the installation of new cribs and the installation of rock mattresses and scour protection. MCI will be installing mooring cleats, structural timber, and all relevant materials for new wharf construction. Further, MCI will supply and install new concrete launch way and all required electrical work. MCI has established a significant quarrying location (as seen in the drone image), to be control blasted and quarried for the purposes of this project. This project requires 8500 tonnes of three to six tonne armour stone to be blasted, supplied and installed. MCI has commenced the pre-requirements for this project and has blasting patterns underway in the quarry location with further work to continue in 2025.
