Marine Contractors has provided storm relief services to many communities in our local region, the community of Codroy and surrounding areas have been significantly impacted by recent weather changes and storms. Fisheries and Oceans Canada, Small Craft Harbours, commencement the work requirements to take place on three site locations in the Codroy region. The scope of work required includes the demolition and removal of the existing pile structure marginal wharf, and the reconstruction of a new treated timber cribwork marginal warm with rock mattresses, site two requires demolition and removal of the exiting breakwater and the reminding structure to be encased in rock. The final site requires the reshaping of material on the existing breakwater and the installation of armour stone to establish a height of 0+7 meters with a crest width of 10m. The timeline for work is anticipated to be 156 weeks to completion. MCI has partnered with another local contractor with expertise to support the scope of work required for this project.
